God is in constant communication with His creation.
God brought about His creation through communication. God said, Let there be light
Communication is the basis to existence.
Communication is the basis for creation.
All creation must remain in constant communication with God in order to continue to exist. In Him we live and move and have our being. I am the true vine and you are the branches, if you abide in me and I in you, you will produce much fruit. Without me you can do nothing.
Communication is being!
Communication is existence!
The thoughts of God actually materialize and become matter and energy. Genesis tells us this truth.
Jesus is the Word of God (communication) that became flesh. Jesus is the ultimate communication of God with His creation.
That is why the Word, or Jesus, was the agent of creation of the universe. John 1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made. Without Him nothing that was made was made. Magnificent!
David wrote that the skies declare the glory of God, day and night the heavens utter speech God is in constant communication with His creation (even with unbelievers) through general revelation or communication, through nature.
Now, each one of us is Gods communication to His world. I was a thought in the mind of God that became manifest as part of the physical world. Therefore, as I go through the world, I am Gods communication with His world.
We are constantly sending back information to God, communicating with God. Believers communicate in a purposeful way through prayer, their thoughts and through their actions. Unbelievers communicate through their lack of prayer, lack of belief and sinful actions.
All of creation is changing constantly, constantly in a state of flux.
Communication changes the object that receives that communication. The change can be large or slight. This is true for humans as well as individual cells in your body.
And, all communication with the creation changes the creation, moment by moment.
The development of a human body, from a single cell, in the womb, is a set program of back and forth communication (play) between cells and tissues. Our growth and development into adults is a back and forth communication. Our aging is a genetic program that dismantles our bodies and brings us to death, through cycles of communication between cells and within cells.
Our bodies are in constant communication, cell to cell, all of our lives.
God is not changing. His communication to His creation is constantly changing His creation, but he remains unchanged.
The Bible says that Jesus has revealed the Father to us. But the Greek can be translated just as well, as Jesus has interpreted the Father to us. Jesus is the communication and the interpretation of the Godhead to us.
This back and forth communication, whether between God and His creation or between tissues of a developing fetus, we call Play.
Communication is always in both directions and is play.
One of the leaders of the Science revolution was a Protestant named Johannes Kepler (1571-1630). Kepler proved that Copernicus theory of planetary orbits was correct. (That the earth orbited the Sun) Oh, and by the way, Copernicus was burned to a stake by the Catholic Church for this theory.
Kepler coined the phrase, Thinking Gods Thoughts After Him, as the reason for the creation of Science.
Kepler wrote, Now, as God the maker played, He taught the game to nature, Whom he created in his image.
What an incredible thought. existence = communication = play
